NERCOMP EVENT
An Open Source Approach to Network Management

Printer Friendly Version
|
Commercial network management applications can cost many tens of thousands of dollars. Do we really need all those pretty pictures? Nearly everything you need to manage and debug a large network can be found in open source applications. This workshop, will explore what tools are available and how they can help you control your network. Special emphasis will be made of perimeter control and policy enforcement, but all aspects of network management will be covered from trend analysis, to fault management. Join Ludovic Marcotte for a discussion of how to control your network without huge payments to "you know who".
