Microsoft offers various flexible support solutions based on customer needs. As a part of Microsoft Services, Premier Support is an annual agreement that provides a managed support offering with direct access to Microsoft technical expertise designed to help maximize the benefit of Microsoft solutions and minimize its total running cost. Premier Support will provide proactive strategic advice and guidance to help prevent IT problems from occurring, and prompt, accurate support to help resolve issues quickly, should any arise.
As a special offer to members of NERCOMP, Microsoft has customized its Premier Support offering. Where the required entry point for a stand-alone annual Premier Support agreement is about $60,000, this special offer to NERCOMP schools is about $26,000 annually; representing more than a 50% reduction to entry. This customized support package has been sized to fit both the support needs and budgetary constraints of the NERCOMP member schools and includes the following:
- A flexible set of hours that may be used for Microsoft Engineers to come onsite for design assistance, systems reviews, white boarding planning sessions, health checks, problem resolution, etc…
- 7 x 24 telephone support and the designation of severity level by the customer with Critical Situation escalation
- Designated Technical Account Manager that will set up reoccurring monthly calls to review your needs, provide guidance and bring in appropriate technical resources
