NERCOMP
originated as a time-sharing consortium in the days of big, multi-million
dollar mainframes. This time-sharing consortium has evolved into a
variety of licensing agreements that NERCOMP makes available at substantial
savings to its Member institutions. Currently, NERCOMP members can
take advantage of NERCOMP participation agreements with Microsoft
and Element K, as well as a number of evolving relationships (outlined
below).
To participate in NERCOMP licensing agreements, an institution must
first have its request for
membership approved by the board and pay the annual dues for the
current year. The licensing agreements have deadlines that may differ
from our membership year. More information is available in the section
on Licensing Details for logged-in members.

NERCOMP has renewed their Contractual License Program (CLP) with Adobe Systems Inc. NERCOMP members are thus able to receive substantial discounts over and above the existing standalone educational prices provided by Adobe.
