NERCOMP sponsors a series of "SIGs," or professional development workshops. This year, there were 60 NERCOMP workshops between September 2007 and June 2008. Looking forward, we're seeking to encourage participation by new SIGMasters, the submission of innovative proposals that encourage active learning, discussion and idea-sharing amongst participants, and we also are open to the idea of multi-session "theme SIGS" around topics such as leadership or network security, where there has been substantial member interest. The proposal process for this year is happening now, and the planning meeting will be at Wellesley College, in Wellesley, MA on Thursday, May 22nd, from 10am-3pm.
